- MakerDAO: As it’s not a big cost and it’s a dApp for Klaytn, It seems like an ok proposal.
- Celltrion: Since Klubs already has experience with the setup and operation of EN nodes, funding them for additional EN operation sounds reasonable.
- AhnLab: It is expected to play a positive role in vitializng the Klaytn ecosystem. We hope to become a big playground for various artists through Kulbs Marketplace and hopefully this support will provide more stable and broad service.
- gumi: I agree with increasing EN.
But in that case, I wonder if you’re going to invest as well in any companies that say they’re going to launch EN.
I think we need to add incentive logic to EN to ensure the decentralization and resilience of the Klaytn network. - VNG: While we don’t have the data on the current workloads of existing EN nodes, increasing the number of Public Endpoint node support is always helpful for the community and ecosystem so it’s a yes for us
- Wemade: Our understanding is that Klubs will be running a Public EN. We believe that running a public EN would be advantageous for the overall Klaytn Ecosystem.
- cocone: Although we accept the grant, it would be better to elaborate on
the standard on how Klubs is substantially going to help the NFT team.

- The Korea Economic Daily: The increase in Klaytn’s endpoint nodes is a good thing, but we have some doubts about the quality of Klubs’ node operation. Currently, its own service does not appear to be operating normally. Therefore, we vote against this proposal.

- NEOPLY: I think it’s a good thing that the Klaytn EN is increasing. However, I am not sure if Klub Public EN is necessary because Fantrie has already operated a number of Public ENs through the existing KIR.

- Celltrion: Funding Code States for providing education to students and implementing ISA for the first time in Korea sounds reasonable.
- AhnLab: Education is one of the most important parts to vitalize the Klaytn ecosystem. In our opinion, this education is not only for Klaytn but also a contribution to the blockchain community. In particular, I think that Hackton and startup support using Klaytn in Code States will be great help in sustaining and maintaining the Klaytn ecosystem in the future.
- NEOPLY: CodeStates believes that it can be trusted as it trains a large number of developers through various Klaytn Lectures. However, as a result of hiring a few CodeStates developers recently, it was difficult to expect high skills through a unified lecture. If we raise the level of education a little more, I think we will be able to secure promising developers.
- gumi: The Web3 ecosystem is in the phase of focusing on application layer enrichment, so I’m all for this. It is interesting that the structure of ISA is similar to DAO.
I hope you can simultaneously solve social issues in Korea and expand the Klaytn ecosystem.
- VNG: Yes as education is important but the funding amount should be reconsidered (570k USD for training 340 developers and 800 end users seems to be quite expensive). We also would like to see a region funding (SEA) for education instead of just Korea.
- Wemade: Our understanding is that this KIR proposal is to educate various blockchain developers. We believe education to thrive more blockchain engineers would be advantageous for the overall Klaytn ecosystem.
- cocone: We have a positive outlook on the initiation and the way the education will be handling multi different categories. It does beg the question, should the KIR specficially provide funds to Code States for this type of education program. In other words, by providing this program does it generate its own business income including ISA other than KIR grant? If the participants have to pay a fee for this program it may be better to rethink this aspect.
- The Korea Economic Daily: The number of blockchain developers in Korea is always insufficient. That is why it is important to train more blockchain developers, especially those specialized in Klaytn through these curriculum. Although it costs quite a bit, it seems like a decent deal if done with an appropriate level of audit.

- MakerDAO: It’s a big cost with uncertain direct benefit to Klaytn ecosystem. It’s probably better to use it to bring real mature dApps than hoping that students will able to achieve them.
[ Klaytn Ecosystem Audit Fund_Blaize Technology ]

- Accepted Budget: USD 720,000
- Proposal: Public EN Operation for Testnet and Archive Node Operation_Fandom Foundation

- Celltrion: Bringing in good audit services into the Klaytn ecosystem makes sense.
- AhnLab: Smart contracts are the core of reliable blockchain transactions, and impact of a vulnerability in the developed code can be unimaginably huge. If an expert group such as Blaize Technology reviews and audits smart contracts, it will be of great help to Klaytn’s growth to globalization.
- NEOPLY: I think that raising a number of Smart Contract Audits and audit funds is of great help to the development of the Klaytn network. In particular, Smart Contract Audit has become very important as it progresses to Web3, and recently famous audit companies know that their schedules are already full for 6 months or 1 year.
It would be even better if the audit of the Klaytn network was given a higher priority as much as the audit fund was raised and audited accurately. - gumi: I agree that the fund is necessary to enable timely audits.
I am not fully aware of the appropriate amount, but I think it would be beneficial if a system could be established in order to adjust the amount after the second year.
- Wemade: We believe this proposal is similar to the previous proposal by Quantstamp. We believe the Audit Fund would be advantageous for the overall Klaytn Ecosystem
- cocone: Due to the fact that there was a similar audit fund in the last KIR review, we continue to have worries about whether the progress of this audit fund will be tracked and the results at each step will be shown transparently in terms of functionality, financial documents, and overall progress report.
Comments - Reject
- MakerDAO: While security is important. It should be up to projects to find such audits. It’s a big cost for the protocol to bear.
Comments - Abstention
- VNG: Incentives for security audit is important but it is not a good idea that Klaytn Ecosystem Audit Fund to be granted for just a single vendor. As the top region security audit firm which has helped protect $12 billion in the total crypto market cap for several hundred Vietnam and global clients, Verichains also would like to offer high quality security audit service to projects on Klaytn network. We think that it’s better for Klaytn to setup a Global Klaytn Ecosystem Audit Fund to incentive projects onboarding Klaytn network, using verified and approved audit vendors such as Blaize Technology and Verichains Lab, etc
We will submit another KIR proposal for a more generic Global Klaytn Ecosystem Audit Fund which would include support from multiple audit firms instead of just a single vendor. - The Korea Economic Daily: It appears to be similar to the Quant Stamp thing that was the 14th KIR. Of course, the more audits, the better. but we’re not sure about whether it’s necessary, so we’are going to abstain from this case.
